About Me
Dashiel Johnson is a seasoned professional with proven community organizing, campaign management and strategic communications experience. His career started 14 years ago as an educator for the City of Oakland. During that time Johnson was a proud union member and helped organize his worksite during the 2013 strike.
In 2012, his political career began as an intern for the Mayor of Oakland. This led Johnson to working for Artos Consulting, where he organized several campaigns. In these campaigns, Johnson held staff positions including Campaign Manager. Through strategic planning, implementing excellent communications and organizing coalitions he led five political campaigns to victory. Johnson currently manages communications for Oakland Pride and has managed several other strategic communication campaigns. His master’s is in Political Communications from American University and his BA is in Political Science.
Paul Wellstone said politics is about making people’s lives better. That has been Johnson’s guiding principle as he has brought passion, expertise and experience to causes and organizations throughout the country.
